Islam is a religion based on principles. All the rules and principles in Islam are compulsory for all the Muslims of the world. Said to Anas bin Malik:
‘How many times did the Prophet perform Hajj?’ He said: ‘He performed one Hajj and he performed four Umrah: An Umrah during Dhul-Qa’dah; the Umrah of Al-Hudaibiyah, and Umrah with his Hajj and an Umrah from Al-Ji’irranah when he divided up the war spoils of Hunain.'” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 821 (Sahih)]
Umrah is performed by Tawaf which are seven circles around the Kaaba. Pilgrimage performs Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. This all procedure is performed in the state of Ihram. Ihram is a two clothed dress and it is unstitched. The pilgrimage repeats some verses during the Tawaf of Kaaba.
In Holy Quran Allah says:
Surely the Safa and the Marwa (two mountains in Makkah) are among the signs appointed by Allah; so whoever makes a pilgrimage to the House or pays a visit (to it), there is no blame on him if he goes round them both; and whoever does good spontaneously, then surely Allah is Grateful, Knowing. 2:158
Kaaba is the house of Allah. It is a cubed shaped structure, made up of stone and mofar. Kaaba is covered with a black cloth and the verses of Holy Quran are written with gold on it.
